I worked with 5 great photographers and a great crew to put together a presentation that was shown before the Wailers concert on Friday. It was a great experience and I hope to do it again next year. The next day I hung out backstage with Three Days Grace and Hinder. Great weekend and I look forward to it next year!

Testing out the new site & app

Since I carry my Mac everywhere, and have yet to use any remote blogging tools @ Blogger, I'm gonna try to use a new backend that moves most of the dev stuff back in-house.

ReviewMe Goodness

I was perusing Mac tools today and came a cross another blog that was posting about a review service. Now, my expectations given my past with various OSes, is to usually filter out FUD, and given this boom in "blogging" I've always seen it as just feeding more FUD into the process garnering good reviews for crappy products. Funny thing is, I'd just come from another site that paid for positive reviews.

Well, after reading their review of this review site, I was attracted to the fact that they don't pay for positive reviews. They pay for reviews. Period. No bonus for a good review or bad review. So, in my little corner of the world here, I'm going to attempt to sway things in light of real reviews. Honest-to-goodness user reviews.

Anyone who has known me throught my OS trecking history will know how much I hate marketing. They also know my wife doesn't let me watch commercials as I pick em apart. Same for OSes and apps. Things should be intuitive. This site is straight forward. Clear as day. No 50 page agreements. You sign up, wait for approval, and the people wanting reviews come to you. So far I like it. No fluff.

Now in all honesty, they are sponsoring this post. It's the reason I'm posting it here. Usually I'd IM or email those of you to let you know, but I guess since the crawlers nab this site it'll get the word out, which can only be a good thing at this point, given the positive reviews for crappy products out there.

So, from my Mac to your machine, try the site out. Maybe sign up and try to balance out the marketers and sell-outs out there. I know there are a ton of them, and it's as if they're static SPAM. But maybe we can help.

Review Me Site
